About the Role
Bally’s Corporation is a global casino-entertainment company with a growing omni-channel presence, operating 15 casinos across 10 states, including a golf course in New York, a horse racetrack in Colorado, and holding OSB licenses in 18 states. Its recent acquisition of Aspers Casino in Newcastle, UK expands its international presence.
The Kitchen Assistant ensures seamless food preparation and delivery, maintaining high-quality standards while working closely with the culinary team. Due to the nature of the business, shift work is mandatory, including early mornings, late evenings, and weekends.
Responsibilities
- Maintaining inventory control, food safety, and sanitation standards
- Ensuring high cleanliness levels by clearing and cleaning:
- Utensils
- Crockery and cutlery
- Equipment and workstations
- Adhering to health and hygiene standards in kitchen operations
- Delivering guest satisfaction with quality food and services
- Producing high-quality food offerings on demand
- Adhering to company philosophy and customer service standards
- Understanding cooking instructions and menu requirements
- Maintaining compliance with Food Hygiene legislation
- Recording opening and close-down procedures
- Reporting Health & Safety (H&S) issues promptly

** Requirements**
- Preference for kitchen experience in Casino, Hospitality, Retail, or Service-driven environments
- Level 2 Food & Hygiene qualification (or equivalent)
- Deep understanding of Health & Food Hygiene legislation
- Fundamental kitchen skills and knowledge of utensils/machinery usage
- Organised, efficient work approach with precision
- Ability to estimate daily production needs
- Capability to work independently in high-volume, fast-paced environments
- Strong teamwork and attention-to-detail
