About the Role
Your responsibilities will include:
- Supporting food preparation whilst maintaining high standards of hygiene and safety to ensure high-quality meals and beverages for residents.
- Ensuring compliance with food safety and handling regulations.
- Maintaining a clean, well-organised environment for meal production.
- Contributing to positive teamwork, adapting quickly to requests, and following all work instructions.
- Collaborating with colleagues to maintain timely and efficient service delivery.
- Thoughtfully managing the supply and ordering of food and supplies, ensuring optimal inventory.
- Displaying respectful, dignified and supportive communication with residents and their visitors.

- Food Safety & Hygiene: Demonstrating knowledge of safe handling methods to uphold high hygiene standards in the kitchen.
- Caring Attitude: Prioritising empathy and understanding when interacting with residents.
- Team Collaboration: Fostering a supportive work environment, engaging constructively with colleagues.
- Order Supply: Ensuring a smooth workflow by ordering replacements for food, equipment, and resources in a timely manner.
About You

Required qualifications and qualities:
- Basic Food Hygiene Certificate (evidence of passing is mandatory).
- Strong emphasis on personal hygiene standards and high cleanliness.
- Health & Safety Competence: Familiarity with moving and handling techniques, fire safety, and COSHH regulations.
- Physical & Mental Stamina: Capacity to work efficiently under demanding conditions and sustain high levels of effort throughout shifts.
- Adaptability & Flexibility: Willingness to adjust to a varied workload while maintaining a proactive approach.
- Team-Oriented Mindset: Previous experience working successfully within a supportive team environment is highly beneficial.
- Compassionate Nature: Commitment to treating residents with kindness and prioritising their dignity.
