Kitchen Assistant – Bank
Location: Glenholme Wendreth Court, March, PE15 8QT
Pay Rate: £13 per hour*
Contract Type: Bank – flexible hours, as and when required

The Role
As a Bank Kitchen Assistant, you will work alongside the Head Chef and wider kitchen team to support the preparation and delivery of fresh, wholesome meals for residents, staff, and visitors.

Job Requirements
- Previous experience working in a kitchen environment is desirable
- A sound knowledge of:
- COSHH
- HACCP
- Environmental Health Standards and Regulations
- Safer Food Better Business
- Food allergies and dietary requirements
- Excellent timekeeping skills
- Strong attention to detail
- Ability to work flexibly as part of a team
This role is subject to an Enhanced DBS check.
Key Responsibilities
- Supporting the Head Chef with food preparation and service
- Assisting with the preparation of healthy, balanced, and nutritious meals using a home-cooked approach
- Ensuring food is prepared, cooked, and stored in a hygienic environment at all times
- Maintaining high standards of food quality and presentation
- Supporting systems to control food portions and minimise waste
- Ensuring all kitchen practices adhere to relevant legislation, policies, and procedures
- Maintaining a strong working knowledge of food safety, COSHH, HACCP, and allergen management
- Cleaning and maintaining kitchen equipment and work areas to a high standard
- Supporting a positive dining experience that reflects Glenholme Senior Living's values and standards of care
