Kitchen Assistant - Care Home
About The Role
As a Kitchen Assistant at a Barchester care home, you’ll help provide the first-class food and hospitality that enable us to give our residents exceptional all-round care and support. A healthy, nutritious diet is vital to ensuring our residents’ wellbeing and helping them enjoy daily life with us, which is why this role is so important. You’ll:
- Help produce meals
- Create a fulfilling dining experience for every resident
- Collaborate with colleagues across the care home
- Blend professional working with an empathic connection to our residents
- Develop personal skills through training and teamwork

About You
When you join us as a Kitchen Assistant, you’ll make a significant contribution to our care home’s success. We’re looking for someone who:
- Is committed to maintaining the highest standards in the kitchen and food preparation
- Demonstrates reliability, consideration and care toward colleagues and residents
- Has a detailed approach to food safety and hospitality
- Offers commercial or care setting experience, though qualifications are not essential
