About The Role
As a Kitchen Assistant at a Barchester care home, you'll help provide the first-class food and hospitality that enable our team to deliver exceptional care and support. A healthy, nutritious diet is fundamental to maintaining residents' well-being and helping them enjoy daily life, making your role indispensable.
You’ll be responsible for:
- Supporting the preparation and production of meals that meet high nutritional standards
- Enhancing residents' dining experience with attentive service
- Collaborating with colleagues to ensure excellence in food and hospitality
- Building connections with residents, enriching their everyday experience
- Developing personal and professional skills while contributing to the care home community

About You
We’re seeking a committed, reliable, and caring individual to help drive our kitchen’s success. The ideal candidate will:
- Provide maximum reliability to maintain exemplary kitchen standards and food safety
- Demonstrate a compassionate attitude towards residents and team members
- Show considerate and efficient approaches in both food preparation and service
- Have flexibility and adaptability for varying demands in a fast-paced care environment
No formal qualifications are mandatory, but relevant experience in commercial kitchens or care settings is advantageous.
