Kitchen Assistant Opportunity at Loughborough College Group

We have an exciting opportunity for a Kitchen Assistant to join our team at Loughborough College Group, based at Stephenson College on a fixed-term (1 year approx.) term-time, part-time basis.

Role Overview

The successful candidate will undertake duties supporting the delivery of high-class standards assisting the Kitchen in preparing & serving food to students, serving on the tills, cleaning the Kitchen and serving areas.

Responsibilities

  • To undertake duties supporting the delivery of high-class standards of preparation and service for the catering department
  • Ensure that all areas within the kitchen are maintained to the highest levels of cleanliness
  • Provide a full service in the preparation, cooking and delivery of food as directed by the Head Chef/Chefs, as required

Requirements

  • Possess a food hygiene qualification (or be willing to work towards one)
  • Have COSHH training (or be willing to work towards it)
  • Experience of working within a customer-focussed environment
  • Effective communication skills, both oral and written
