Kitchen Assistant
Kitchen Assistant (Full-Time, 35 Hours p/w) – Defence Team
We're looking for a motivated and passionate Kitchen Assistant to join our Defence team on a full-time basis, contracted to 35 hours per week. At Defence, we take immense pride in our food, our brand, and—most importantly—our people.

Key Responsibilities
- Preparing delicious, high-quality food that delights clients and customers
- Maintaining a high standard of cleanliness in the kitchen and surrounding areas
- Ensuring proper use of machinery and equipment
- Assisting with loading/unloading deliveries and supply vehicles
- Representing the Defence brand and maintaining a positive image
- Complying with Food Handling & Hygiene standards
- Adhering to Health & Safety regulations

About the Role
By becoming part of ESS (Compass Group UK&I’s defence, government, and energy services sector), you’ll contribute to supporting over 250 UK military establishments, high-profile police services, secure environments, and government sites. You’ll also support a range of onshore and offshore facilities—including platforms, drilling rigs, and energy sector offices.
