Job: Kitchen Assistant

Location: Newark

Role Accountabilities

Business Communication:

  • Has relationships with relevant functions to support the Development process activity.

Customer:

  • Supports hospitality for customer and high-profile visits.

Facilities:

  • Ensures kitchen facilities, hygiene and maintenance are kept to an agreed standard in accordance with the required health and safety procedures.

Job Description:

  • Has strong relationships with factory operatives, Process and QA to support with ingredient and sample collation.
  • Collation/collection of ingredients from all areas of the factory
  • Collation/collection of packaging from all areas of the factory
  • Collation/collection of finished goods from all areas of the factory
  • Decanting of materials from deliveries (must be comfortable lifting and moving up to 20kg)
  • Stock rotation and replenishment
  • Pot washing duties
  • General kitchen cleaning duties including sweeping, mopping and deck scrubbing
  • Supporting chefs in panel room general maintenance including replenishment of tasting equipment and waste management
  • All duties carried out following required health and safety procedures
  • Basic computer literacy for writing and printing labels, top sheets and updating raw materials databases (Microsoft Word & Excel predominantly)
