Kitchen Installation Apprenticeship

Our Kitchen Installations Apprenticeship is a hands-on and practical apprenticeship programme designed to help you learn a trade while earning a living. Whether you’re starting out or changing careers, our apprenticeship will give you everything you need to succeed in the kitchen installation field.

You’ll work alongside an experienced Wickes Approved Installer, learning how to fit kitchens safely, professionally and confidently in customers’ homes. By the end of the 18 months, you’ll have the qualifications and knowledge you need to become self-employed and join our Wickes installer network.

What you’ll be doing

  • Installing Wickes kitchens in customer homes alongside an experienced installer
  • Learning safe removal and installation techniques
  • Developing practical trade skills across units, worktops and appliances
  • Building confidence with tools, measurements and planning
  • Supporting customers and working independently as you grow
  • Understanding how to run and manage your own workload
  • Exploring the basics of starting your own installer business
  • Receiving technical and practical training delivered by WEBS Training

What you’ll bring

You don’t need previous experience, just the drive and willingness to learn. But you must have:

  • An interest in developing trade skills and hands-on learning
  • Good problem-solving skills and a positive, can-do attitude
  • Willingness to learn and work safely
  • Strong communication and customer focus
  • Resilience and reliability
  • Interest in being self-employed and running your own business
  • Ability to attend training with short stays in Nottingham
  • A full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle (essential for travelling to customer homes)
