Role Description & Responsibilities
This Kitchen Installer position is a contract-based, on-site role based in Rayleigh. Key duties include:
- Installing bespoke kitchen units, worktops, appliances, and fittings in accordance with detailed design plans and manufacturer specifications.
- Measuring and preparing installation spaces, carrying out carpentry and joinery tasks, and ensuring precise alignment, secure fixing, and high-quality finishes.
- Coordinating with designers, project managers, and clients to resolve on-site installation issues while maintaining communication and expectation alignment.
- Conducting basic checks on installed appliances and adhering to safety and building regulations.
- Completing installations within agreed timelines.
- Maintaining a clean, safe, and efficient working environment.

Requirements & Qualifications
- Strong carpentry and joinery skills, including fitting units, worktops, and panels to a high standard.
- Proven experience in kitchen installation, covering appliances, fixtures, and associated fittings.
- Ability to interpret technical drawings, layout plans, and measurements accurately.
- Knowledge of relevant health and safety practices and a basic understanding of building regulations.
- Problem-solving mindset with an excellent attention to detail, adaptable to varied spaces and conditions.
- Effective communication skills to liaise confidently with designers, project managers, and clients on-site.
- Skillful and safe handling of both hand and power tools.
- Valid UK driving licence with reliable transport for travel to the showroom and client locations.
- Previous experience in kitchen fitting, shopfitting, or a related trade is advantageous. Relevant trade qualifications or certifications are helpful but not mandatory.
