Kitchen Lead Cook - Aspire Lounge
Location: Aspire Lounge, Newcastle Airport
Position: Full-Time
You will be required to provide 5 years references from the UK.
Aspire Lounge is known for delivering a calm, premium experience for travellers, and our food offering is a huge part of that. We’re looking for a confident and motivated Kitchen Lead Cook to take charge of daily kitchen operations and help us deliver consistently high-quality dishes to our guests.
This is a hands-on role for someone who loves cooking, thrives in a fast-paced environment, and takes pride in leading by example.
Responsibilities
- Lead the day-to-day running of the kitchen, ensuring smooth service throughout the day
- Prepare, cook, and present high-quality dishes in line with Aspire Lounge standards
- Oversee food safety, hygiene, and cleanliness at all times
- Support and guide kitchen assistants, helping to train and motivate the team
- Manage stock levels, deliveries, and waste reduction
- Work closely with Lounge Management to maintain menu quality and consistency
- Ensure all dietary requirements and allergen procedures are followed correctly

Qualifications
- Previous experience as a cook or chef, ideally in a high-volume or hospitality environment
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to support and inspire others
- Excellent knowledge of food safety and kitchen best practices
- A calm, organised approach—even during busy periods
- Passion for delivering great food and a great guest experience
- Reliability, professionalism, and a positive attitude
