Chef Manager

Morena is an all-day dining restaurant inspired by the flavours of Latin-America. The menu operates across brunch, dinner, and weekend brunch, with an exciting and innovative selection of dishes.

As the Chef Manager, you will be responsible for ensuring the delivery of consistent, high-quality, and innovative dishes and specials. You will manage:

  • The overall kitchen operation
  • Prep schedules
  • Stock control
  • Budgeting
  • Maintenance
  • Day-to-day management of the kitchen

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead, motivate, and manage the kitchen team
  • Assign daily tasks and ensure efficient kitchen operations
  • Train, mentor, and develop kitchen staff
  • Maintain food quality, presentation, and hygiene standards
  • Monitor stock levels, ordering, and food cost control
  • Ensure compliance with all food safety and health regulations
  • Work closely with management to develop menus and improve kitchen performance
  • Schedule and review staff rotas

Requirements

  • Minimum 2 years’ experience as a Sous Chef in a busy kitchen environment
  • Proven leadership and team management skills
  • Strong knowledge of food safety and kitchen operations
  • Ability to work efficiently under pressure
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills
  • Passion for delivering high-quality food and customer satisfaction
