Job Description

We are seeking a reliable and organised Kitchen Porter to join our Stirling team. As part of our culinary team, your role focuses on maintaining hygiene, organisation, and efficiency in the kitchen environment.

Day-to-Day Responsibilities

  • Wash dishes, utensils, pots, pans, equipment—handwash or industrial machine—ensuring impeccable sanitation in line with industry standards.
  • Clean and sanitise kitchen surfaces, countertops, food prep zones, and equipment regularly.
  • Empty rubbish bins and ensure proper disposal adherence to health and safety regulations.
  • Assist chefs and cooks with: peeling, chopping, slicing, and portioning ingredients.
  • Receive, store, and organise kitchen supplies and ingredients, maintaining accurate inventory records and alerting management to low stock levels.
  • Inspect and maintain kitchen equipment, ensuring compliance with food hygiene and safety standards—report any faults immediately.

  • (Desirable but welcome regardless) Prior catering or kitchen experience.
