Job Description
We are seeking a reliable and organised Kitchen Porter to join our Stirling team. As part of our culinary team, your role focuses on maintaining hygiene, organisation, and efficiency in the kitchen environment.
Day-to-Day Responsibilities
- Wash dishes, utensils, pots, pans, equipment—handwash or industrial machine—ensuring impeccable sanitation in line with industry standards.
- Clean and sanitise kitchen surfaces, countertops, food prep zones, and equipment regularly.
- Empty rubbish bins and ensure proper disposal adherence to health and safety regulations.
- Assist chefs and cooks with: peeling, chopping, slicing, and portioning ingredients.
- Receive, store, and organise kitchen supplies and ingredients, maintaining accurate inventory records and alerting management to low stock levels.
- Inspect and maintain kitchen equipment, ensuring compliance with food hygiene and safety standards—report any faults immediately.

- Understanding of food hygiene principles and health and safety compliance requirements.
- Reliability, punctuality, and professionalism; adaptability and resilience to handle high-pressure moments.
- (Desirable but welcome regardless) Prior catering or kitchen experience.
