About The Role
Job Title: Kitchen Porter
School Location: Hatherop Castle School, Cirencester, GL7 3NB
Working Days: Monday to Friday
Shifts & Working Hours: 10am-7pm (40 hours per week)
Working Weeks: 33.6 weeks per year (term time plus inset days)
Pay Details: £19,115.84 per Annum
What will I be doing?
As a Kitchen Porter, you’ll play a vital role in keeping the kitchen running smoothly, ensuring everything is clean, organised, and ready for service.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Washing pots, pans, cutlery, and crockery using an industrial dishwasher or by hand as required
- Checking incoming deliveries, ensuring stock is correct, and storing it safely
- Keeping kitchen and dining areas clean, tidy, and hygienic at all times
- Supporting the catering team to provide a friendly, efficient, and high-quality service to all customers

What are we looking for?
We’re looking for someone reliable, hardworking, and ready to be part of a busy catering team.
- Experience in catering, retail, or customer service is helpful, but not essential
- A positive, team-focused attitude
- Willingness to follow food hygiene and safety standards
- Reliability and pride in maintaining high standards
No formal qualifications are required—we’ll support you to develop your skills and grow within the business.
