Key Responsibilities

As a Kitchen Porter, your role involves supporting the kitchen team in maintaining a clean, efficient, and hygienic environment while adhering to strict operational standards. Key tasks include:

  • Setting up and closing down the potwash area, plus assisting other kitchen stations
  • Following protocols for:
    • Dishwashing
    • Grease management
    • Hand hygiene
  • Cleaning, polishing, and storing cutlery and equipment
  • Managing waste, recycling, and secure storage of deliveries
  • Rotating stock and ensuring:
    • Fridge, freezer, and storage areas are clean and organised
  • Performing defrost, preparation, and general cleaning tasks with a clean-as-you-go approach
  • Maintaining high standards of:
    • Food storage
    • Safety
    • Kitchen cleanliness

Our venues operate early and late, offering flexible shift patterns including:

  • Mornings
  • Evenings
  • Weekends
  • Late finishes
