Key Responsibilities
As a Kitchen Porter, your role involves supporting the kitchen team in maintaining a clean, efficient, and hygienic environment while adhering to strict operational standards. Key tasks include:
- Setting up and closing down the potwash area, plus assisting other kitchen stations
- Following protocols for:
- Dishwashing
- Grease management
- Hand hygiene
- Cleaning, polishing, and storing cutlery and equipment
- Managing waste, recycling, and secure storage of deliveries
- Rotating stock and ensuring:
- Fridge, freezer, and storage areas are clean and organised
- Performing defrost, preparation, and general cleaning tasks with a clean-as-you-go approach
- Maintaining high standards of:
- Food storage
- Safety
- Kitchen cleanliness
Our venues operate early and late, offering flexible shift patterns including:
- Mornings
- Evenings
- Weekends
- Late finishes
