KITCHEN PORTER
Salary: £27,628.80 per annum
Working Hours: Permanent, Full-time position, 40 hours per week. Monday to Friday between 06:30 and 15:30
Location: Cheltenham
Excellent benefits package including 2.5% Golden Hello payment on commencement of employment and a £2,000 annual retention bonus (pro-rata for part-time employees), subject to achieving and maintaining clearance requirements

About The Role
We are actively seeking a highly reliable, self-motivated, and team-oriented Kitchen Porter to become an integral part of our dedicated and hardworking catering team. As a Kitchen Porter, you will play a crucial role in maintaining the kitchen, associated areas, and equipment to the highest level of cleanliness. Working directly under the Head Chef, you will act as a G4S ambassador, upholding excellent health, safety, and hygiene practices across the entire catering unit
Responsibilities
Maintain cleanliness: Wash and clean kitchen cookware, utensils, and surfaces, ensuring all equipment is stored correctly Floor care: Assist with general floor cleaning by sweeping and mopping kitchen environments Waste management: Empty bins regularly while strictly adhering to site recycling policies Safety compliance: Comply with all client and company health and safety procedures, including COSHH, Food Handling, PPE, and Manual Handling Risk reduction: Maintain reporting procedures by highlighting kitchen hazards, issues, near misses, and accidents at the earliest opportunity Chemical control: Ensure the correct storage, control, and use of all cleaning materials, chemicals, and machinery Documentation: Correctly complete, maintain, and update required Food Safety and Health & Safety paperwork Professional development: Undertake mandatory and online training to satisfy corporate objectives and log them on your training record Corporate security: Adhere to all corporate security policies and maintain a professional attitude throughout service delivery

Essential Requirements
Core values: Reliable, trustworthy, honest, and self-motivated with a proactive approach to teamwork Communication skills: Good verbal communication skills and a strong customer focus Regulatory awareness: Basic knowledge of Health & Safety, Food Safety, COSHH, and due diligence Security clearance: Willingness to undergo and obtain extended, high-level government security clearance to commence employment
Desirable Requirements
Prior experience: Experience working in a similar kitchen porter or catering role
