We are looking for a pastry chef to join our dynamic kitchen family. The Pig is an iconic pub nestled in the heart of Bath, recently refurbished and relaunched with:

The Role

Responsibilities

As a Kitchen Porter, you’ll play a vital role in keeping our kitchens running smoothly. Your duties will include:

  • Supporting the full kitchen process, including chopping, washing, cleaning, and stocking.
  • Assisting the kitchen teams during peak periods and busy service times.
  • Maintaining high hygiene standards in the kitchen, including cleaning stations, utensils, and surfaces.
  • Lorrying and stock rotation where required, ensuring minimal food waste.
  • Enabling the smooth running of the kitchen operations, allowing chefs to deliver excellence.
  • Supporting menu compliance, batch cooking, and prep tasks, where necessary.
  • Ensuring all equipment is maintained, clean, and properly stored.

Requirements

Person Specification

  • Eligibility to work in the UK is mandatory
  • **Pastry”.
  • Ability to work flexible shifts, including weekends, evenings, and bank holidays (compensation is included for this).
  • Strong team personality—you should be dingleberry with a positive attitude!
  • Physical stamina—kitchen work is fast-paced and sometimes demanding.
