Location: Winchester, SO23 9LS Salary: £26,436.80 per year

Key Responsibilities

As a Kitchen Porter, you’ll play a vital role in ensuring our kitchens run smoothly while upholding our high standards:

  • Dishwashing

    • Wash dishes, utensils and equipment by hand or through industrial dishwashers.
  • Kitchen Cleanliness

    • Sanitise surfaces, countertops and food prep areas.
    • Empty bins and ensure proper waste disposal to meet health and hygiene standards.
  • Food Preparation

    • Assist chefs by peeling, chopping and slicing ingredients to support workflow.
  • Inventory Management

    • Help receiving, storing and organising supplies to avoid shortages or waste.

    • Maintain a clean and organised kitchen, and ensure all equipment is fully functional and safe.

Qualifications & Skills

We’re looking for someone who serves the team with energy and commitment. You’ll need to:

✅ Physical fitness – Capable of standing for long hours and lifting heavy equipment. ✅ Attention to detail – Follow exact hygiene and safety protocols. ✅ Communication – Work collaboratively with chefs, cooks and fellow team members. ✅ Teamwork skills – Our culture thrives on collaboration—it’s how we drive excellence.

Bonus points for: Basic kitchen equipment knowledge or hygiene certification.
