Up to £12.71 per hour (depending on age)
About the Role
Join our One Great Team at Haven as a Kitchen Porter—you’ll play an essential role in keeping our kitchen efficient with plenty of learning and growth opportunities.
We’re looking for an energetic Kitchen Porter to join our kitchen crew! As a key team member, you’ll maintain cleanliness, assist with basic food prep, and ensure everything runs smoothly behind the scenes. Ideal for those who thrive in fast-paced environments and don’t mind getting hands-on!
Key Responsibilities
- Keep the kitchen clean and orderly by:
- Washing dishes, utensils, pots, and pans
- Sanitising surfaces, equipment, and floors (following health and safety standards)
- Perform basic food preparation tasks such as:
- Chopping vegetables
- Prepping ingredients
- Assembling simple dishes (under chef supervision)
- Help maintain stock levels by:
- Organising ingredients
- Unpacking deliveries
- Properly storing items

Requirements
- No prior experience required (but previous kitchen, porter, or catering experience is a bonus).
- Strong physical ability, including:
- Lifting, carrying
- Standing for long periods -Excellent teamwork and communication skills.
- Flexibility to work:
- Various shifts (evenings, weekends, holidays).
