Hotel Du Vin Wimbledon – Kitchen Porter (Permanent, 16 Hours/Week)
Salary: £12.96 per hour Contract: Permanent
About the Role
Hotel du Vin Wimbledon is looking for committed Kitchen Porters to join its culinary team on an immediate start basis.
This role is essential for maintaining a spotless, highly efficient kitchen. Your responsibilities will include:
- Ensuring the general cleanliness of kitchen and staff areas
- Managing pot and plate wash operations
- Supporting the kitchen brigade with day-to-day duties
The work can be demanding but invaluable for building skills and experience—especially if you're looking to progress into a Chef role in the future. The team actively supports professional development through: ✔ Fully funded Apprenticeship programmes ✔ Internal opportunities for progression
Key Responsibilities
- Maintain high standards of cleanliness in kitchen and staff areas
- Assist with pot washing, plate cleaning, and dishwashing
- Restock and organise kitchen supplies
- Liaise with the kitchen brigade to ensure seamless operations
- Assist with food prep tasks where required
- Follow food hygiene and safety guidelines
