Since opening Shoreditch Grind in 2011, we've expanded across London with cafés, coffee trucks and a state-of-the-art coffee roastery.

In 2023, we created our charity, the Better Coffee Foundation, to undo the damage done by the global coffee industry - in our first year, we recovered 43 million pods' worth of ocean-bound plastic.

Our Grind locations offer all-day dining and focus on using fresh seasonal produce to develop a dynamic menu.
As a Kitchen Porter, you will be responsible for supporting the kitchen team in ensuring they have everything they need to operate the kitchen
You will need strong organisational skills, work well under pressure and enjoy working in a very busy work environment. If you’re looking to start your culinary career but don’t yet have any experience, this is a great opportunity for you!

- Support the Back of House team in the operation of the kitchen
- Ensure the kitchen is always clean and well equipped to run service
- Action any tasks requested by Head Chef or Senior Chef on duty
You’ll have
- Strong organisational skills and the ability to quickly prioritise tasks
- Ability to perform well and remain professional whilst under pressure
- The capacity to collaborate effectively within a dynamic, fast-paced team environment.
- Effective communication and listening skills to carry out instructions

Grind run a tronc scheme, which is managed by an independent tronc master. Tronc payments are variable and not guaranteed, this number is likely to fluctuate depending on site performance and individual eligibility.
