Kitchen Porter
Aramark UK – Kitchen Porter, Full-Time (Missions Across UK & Ireland)
About the Role
Aramark UK is recruiting a Kitchen Porter for a prestigious global financial institution, spanning six sites in London, Bournemouth, Dublin, Edinburgh, and Luxembourg. With roots dating back to 1799, this client prioritises exceptional service—and we need someone who embodies that standard! Additionally, you’ll contribute to the exciting reopening of a newly refurbished site, ensuring a smooth transition that upholds our culture of premium operational excellence.
Note: This position is subject to client vetting.
What You’ll Do
Core Responsibilities:
- Maintain high standards of cleanliness across all kitchen operational areas:
- Floors, surfaces, equipment, and storage rooms
- Wash, dry, and organise pots, pans, utensils, and crockery for seamless service/day-start readiness
- Operate dishwashers and manually wash items as required
- Properly collect, sort, and dispose of waste, adhering to recycling and food-waste protocols
- Support deep-cleaning tasks, including ovens, fridges, extraction systems, and drains
- Assist chefs with basic food prep (peeling, chopping, portioning – as directed)
- Restock kitchen stations with clean tools and ingredients
- Maintain organised storage, ensuring correct labelling, inventory rotation, and stock positioning
- Keep the delivery area tidy while aiding stock receiving and storage
- Collaborate with chefs and front-of-house teams to optimise workflow
- Prevent service bottlenecks by organising dishwashing and prep areas
- Assist with closing-down procedures, ensuring all equipment/areas are pristine for the following day
