Kitchen Porter
Kitchen Porter The Hoxton, Edinburgh
The Hoxton is searching for their Kitchen Porter to keep our vibrant Patatino restaurant running smoothly. Reporting to the Back of House Manager, you’ll ensure a clean, organised, and food-safe kitchen environment in our stunning West End location.
About the Role
Primary Responsibility
Maintain a spotless, efficient kitchen in Patatino—our all-day Italian trattoria—while supporting the back of house (BOH) team to create seamless operations.
Key Responsibilities

Cleaning & Maintenance:
- Daily deep cleaning of kitchen surfaces, equipment, utensils, cutlery, and station work areas
- Ensure pass zone, storage, and food prep surfaces are tidy and ready for service
- Wash, sanitise, and organise cutlery, glassware, and plateware
- Maintain ventilation systems, walls, and floors to defined hotel standards
- Handle refuse storage in compliance with company guidelines

Logistical Support:
- Receive and unload food/equipment deliveries, labelling and storing items correctly
- Assist with stock rotation and inventory, ensuring freshness and organisation
- Assist staff with opening/closing restaurant procedures, including safety checks in the culinary area
