Kitchen Porter – The Seaburn Inn

About the Role

As Kitchen Porter, you’ll be fundamental to ensuring our kitchen operates at the highest standards. Here’s what you’ll do:

  • Maintain rigorous food hygiene compliance and uphold excellent standards in all kitchen areas.
  • Oversee the wash-up area, ensuring cleaning schedules are met and equipment spotless.
  • Assist with basic food preparation tasks when needed.
  • Demonstrate flexibility to support the kitchen team with general duties during peak periods.
  • Work collaboratively with colleagues to ensure a smooth, efficient, and enjoyable kitchen environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Managing the kitchen cleaning schedule with meticulous attention to detail.
  • Ensuring personal presentation (landing standards) in line with our customer-focused service.
  • Providing assistance as requested by the Head Chef or Kitchen Assistant.
  • Maintaining a stylish and hygienic kitchen area in preparation for guest services.
  • Being flexible with availability to cover shifts and busy periods as required.
