Quod is an independent, bustling, city centre restaurant, bar & terrace with over 250 seats. Located on Oxford’s famous High Street, Quod is open all day, every day serving breakfast, lunch, afternoon tea & dinner. The menu consists of European classics with an emphasis on British produce. The busy restaurant, with a high level of repeat business, is open every day of the year.
Quod is part of ‘The Oxford Collection’; a small, privately owned group of two luxury 5* hotels and apartments, three restaurants that consists of the Old Bank Hotel, the Old Parsonage Hotel, 36 St Giles, Parsonage Grill, Gees Restaurant & Bar, and Quod Restaurant & Bar. We have 80 bedrooms across three iconic properties in central Oxford, with unrivalled views across the city’s beautiful skyline.

We are looking for a Kitchen Porter to join the kitchen team run by Rohan Kashid, Head Chef at Quod and Head of Menu Development at The Oxford Collection.
The Ideal Candidate Will

Typical Duties Of This Role Are
- Ensure all cooking utensils, crockery, and any equipment used in food preparation, is washed, and dried thoroughly and returned to its correct storage place in the kitchen. This is to be done efficiently in order to ensure the chefs have sufficient equipment and resources during service.
- To assist in receiving/unpacking/storing any deliveries when requested.
- Adhere to Health, Hygiene and Safety standards in the kitchen, as set out in the company Health and Safety policy using COSHH and HACCP precautions where necessary.
Requirements For The Position
- Experience working in similar restaurants is beneficial although full training will be provided

We offer a sensible shift pattern across a 40-hour working week (Monday to Sunday rota with 2 days off) with an OTE up to £15.26 per hour, £31,741.00 per annum.
Based on 40 hours per week, including non-contractual tronc (service charge).
Part-time hours may also be considered.
