At Olive & Barr, we design and manufacture beautifully handcrafted British kitchens, combining exceptional craftsmanship with thoughtful design and a highly personalised client experience.
As our business continues to grow, we are looking for an experienced Kitchen Sales Designer to join our team.
This is an opportunity to work with clients investing in high-quality handmade kitchens, often as part of wider renovation, extension, and home transformation projects. Supported by our operational and client experience teams, you will be able to focus on what you do best: building relationships, creating inspiring designs, and guiding clients through their journey.
Salary
Competitive Basic Salary + Uncapped Commission (Dependent on Experience)
The Role
You will manage projects from initial enquiry through to design sign-off, helping clients bring their vision to life while delivering an exceptional experience throughout.
Key responsibilities include
- Conducting Discovery Consultations in the showroom, virtually, and occasionally in clients’ homes.
- Understanding clients’ lifestyles, aspirations, and project requirements.
- Designing beautiful and practical kitchens using Winner Design Software or similar.
- Presenting design concepts, finishes, appliances, and investment options.
- Guiding clients through the commissioning and design process.
- Maintaining accurate CRM records and managing follow-up activity.
- Working closely with operations, production, and installation teams.
- Taking ownership of your projects and contributing to showroom success.

About You
We are looking for someone who combines strong design skills with excellent relationship-building ability.
You will be confident engaging with clients, understanding their needs, discussing investment levels, and guiding them through important decisions in a professional and consultative way.
You are commercially aware without being pushy and understand that trust, service, and expertise are key to creating successful projects.
Essential Requirements
- Minimum 2 years’ experience in kitchen design and sales.
- Experience using Winner Design Software or similar.
- Proven ability to secure projects and achieve results.
- Strong communication, presentation, and relationship-building skills.
- Excellent organisational skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Full UK driving licence.
Desirable
- Experience within a premium, bespoke, or handmade kitchen environment.
- Knowledge of cabinetry construction, appliances, worktops, and interior design principles.
- Experience using CRM systems.
