Vacancy Description

A kitchen shift manager supports the kitchen manager and pub manager and takes responsibility for the kitchen operation. This includes supporting, leading and motivating the team to meet sales, profit and compliance targets.

As a kitchen shift manager, you will run shifts and work unsupervised to achieve the following daily:

  • excellent customer service
  • serving food to the correct specification, while achieving food-delivery-time targets at all times
  • adhering to all Wetherspoon standard operating procedures (SOPs) and company policies, to maintain a clean, safe and legal workplace

Pay And Benefits Include

  • starting salary of £30,387

(there is additional pay-weighting within the M25 and at other selected locations)

  • 40-hour working week

The Role

  • delivering high standards in all areas: cleanliness, product quality, customer service, maintenance and atmosphere
  • complying with company operating standards and legislation, dealing with customers, administration and, once trained, cash management
  • prioritising tasks, delegating and problem-solving
  • working on a variety of shifts across the week (including front of house)
  • taking responsibility in achieving all financial targets set for the kitchen, by taking proactive steps to build sales and control costs
  • working with the kitchen manager to:
    • forecast sales and associated costs
    • review and manage all aspects of the profit and loss account
    • maximise sales opportunities
