Kitchen Shift Manager (Job Ref: 658060)

About the Role

A Kitchen Shift Manager supports the kitchen manager and pub manager, ensuring smooth kitchen operations through leadership, team motivation, and adherence to targets—focused on sales, profit, and compliance.

Key Responsibilities

As a Kitchen Shift Manager, you will:

  • Run shifts independently, ensuring:
    • Exceptional customer service
    • On-time food delivery to industry standards
    • Full compliance with Wetherspoon SOP and policies, maintaining a clean, safe, and legal working environment
  • Support and lead kitchen & team performance
  • Work proactively to hit financial and service targets

Pay & Benefits

  • Starting salary: £30,387 (Plus extra pay weighting in certain areas of the M25 region)
  • Workload: 40-hour week

Detailed Role Expectations

  • Uphold high standards in:
    • Cleanliness
    • Product quality
    • Customer service
    • Maintenance & atmosphere
  • Enforce compliance with operating procedures and laws
  • Handle customer relations, shift-front of house tasks, as well as administration.
  • Delegate effectively, manage time, and solve problems.
  • Balance varied shifts, including:
    • Kitchen operations
    • Customer-facing roles (if required)
    • Financial forecasting and profit control.
