About the Role
A Kitchen Shift Manager supports the kitchen manager and pub manager, ensuring smooth kitchen operations through leadership, team motivation, and adherence to targets—focused on sales, profit, and compliance.
Key Responsibilities
As a Kitchen Shift Manager, you will:
- Run shifts independently, ensuring:
- Exceptional customer service
- On-time food delivery to industry standards
- Full compliance with Wetherspoon SOP and policies, maintaining a clean, safe, and legal working environment
- Support and lead kitchen & team performance
- Work proactively to hit financial and service targets

Pay & Benefits
- Starting salary: £30,387 (Plus extra pay weighting in certain areas of the M25 region)
- Workload: 40-hour week

Detailed Role Expectations
- Uphold high standards in:
- Cleanliness
- Product quality
- Customer service
- Maintenance & atmosphere
- Enforce compliance with operating procedures and laws
- Handle customer relations, shift-front of house tasks, as well as administration.
- Delegate effectively, manage time, and solve problems.
- Balance varied shifts, including:
- Kitchen operations
- Customer-facing roles (if required)
- Financial forecasting and profit control.
