The ideal applicant for the Kitchen Team Leader role with us is a fun, enthusiastic and passionate team member with the potential to step into leadership within our dynamic pub teams.

While we don’t require prior supervisory experience, you’ll need a positive attitude, a strong willingness to learn, and the ability to stay calm under pressure. The Role
Your key responsibilities will include:
Primary Responsibilities
- Oversee and guide kitchen operations by leading by example and coaching team members to maintain high standards.
- Ensure food is prepared, cooked, served, and presented in line with company standards.
- Lead the team to achieve food-delivery-time targets.
- Provide friendly customer interactions, including greeting customers, building rapport, and displaying a welcoming attitude.
- Stay up-to-date with promotions, events, and new products.
- Maintain a clean-as-you-go policy, ensuring the kitchen is cleaned and maintained throughout the day.
- Assist in managing stock levels by minimising wastage and monitoring correct portioning.
- Support in receiving deliveries, checking compliance with Wetherspoon’s policies, and reporting any anomalies to the manager.
- Engage in opening and closing duties, ensuring the kitchen is ready for service and properly closed.
- Train, mentor, and motivate associates during shifts to support their development.
- Help maintain compliance with company policies, health and safety standards, and operational procedures.

Hours and Flexibility
- Total Weekly Hours: 28
- Flexible shifts available, including mornings, evenings, weekends, and late finishes to suit your schedule.
