Job Description

Join us at Greene King pubs, where we are a beacon for communities where people want to come together. Our locally-owned pubs are the heartbeat of their neighbourhoods – a place where communities gather for special events, hearty home-cooked meals, or simply to catch up with friends over a drink.

As a Kitchen Team Leader, you’ll lead by example, ensuring the team has everything they need for a smooth service every time. You’ll cultivate a collaborative environment, encouraging teamwork while maintaining the highest culinary standards to deliver exceptional dishes with consistently flawless presentation.

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform all duties of a kitchen operative:

    • Prepare, cook, and present food that meets quality standards and exceeds customer expectations.
    • Maintain strict adherence to hygiene and health & safety regulations to ensure a safe working environment for staff and a secure dining experience for guests.
  • Support and lead your team:

    • Deputise for the management team when required and resolve operational or service issues.
    • Coordinate team members during busy periods to ensure efficient workflow and high standards.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
