Key Attributes & Requirements
To excel in this role, you’ll need:
- A passion for hospitality
- A willingness to learn and develop skills daily
- A keen eye for detail
- The ability to assist the Head Chef with:
- Ordering and stock taking
- Food hygiene compliance at Golden Fleece
- Experience (or willingness to learn) in maintaining kitchen equipment

Responsibilities
As a Kitchen Team Member, your key duties will include:
- Assisting with food preparation
- Producing high-quality dishes consistently to meet our guest standards
- Ensuring the kitchen remains clean, organised, and hygienic at all times
- Overseeing deliveries and stock management
- Offering creative suggestions to enhance kitchen efficiency and service
- Collaborating with the team to achieve company-wide and point-of-sale targets

Location: Nestled at the base of York’s historic Shambles, this pub holds its own unique charm—it’s the most haunted pub in the UK! Tourists from around the world stop by to experience its four character-filled rooms, some even daring to stay the night.
