Job Vacancy: Ward Support Staff (Nursing Assistant) – Corgarff Ward, Aberdeen & Elgin
Location: Corgarff Ward, Royal Cornhill Hospital (Aberdeen city, Aberdeenshire & Elgin) Ward Type: Mixed-sex in-patient rehabilitation ward (~16 beds)
We are seeking two motivated individuals looking to progress their career in in-patient rehabilitation nursing and partnering with a multidisciplinary team to deliver patient-centred care.
About the Role
Corgarff Ward provides high-quality rehabilitation services to patients requiring hands-on support to regain independence after medical, surgical, or neurological conditions.
As a Ward Support Staff (Band 5), you will:
- Work within a nursing team to support patient recovery
- Create a therapeutic environment, fostering trust and resilience
- Assist in life skills training and rehabilitation planning
- Contribute to ** team-based care** in a challenging yet rewarding setting

Key Responsibilities
✔ Assisting patients with daily activities (mobility, washing, eating) ✔ Recording observations and maintaining accurate documentation ✔ Supporting the nursing team in maintaining high standards of care ✔ Actively contributing to a supportive, collaborative working culture ✔ Developing therapeutic relationships to encourage patient engagement

What We Offer
🔹 Two part-time opportunities:
- 28.48 hrs/week (Band 5)
- 36 hrs/week (Band 5)
🔹 Relocation Support: Up to £8,000 available to successful candidates
