This Role
Our Knowledge and Information Management team plays a critical role:
- Reviewing and transferring sensitive historical records to The National Archives.
- Leveraging AI and emerging technologies to manage the exponential growth in digital records.
- Protecting UK foreign relations, defence interests, intelligence services, and personal data within strict legal frameworks.

Develop Your Skills in Our Fast-Paced Environment
As part of a supportive, collaborative team, you will:
- Maintain, develop, and ensure the accuracy of key data sources for our stakeholders.
- Provide expert information derived from data to clients.
- Manage enquiries to data protection mailboxes and assist Privacy Officer, Privacy Manager, and Transparency Officer with:
- Freedom of Information (FoI) requests
- Subject Access Requests (SAR)
- Gather, collate access customer data while ensuring transparency and compliance.
- Track, review, and assist with data protection impact assessments (DPIAs).
- Liaise with stakeholders to help update and approve DPIAs.

Your Responsibilities
Key responsibilities include:
- Publishing information online with sensitivity in mind.
- Analysing, interrogating, and evaluating data to produce actionable insights.
- Managing concurrent requests for data and information.
- Supporting two shared mailboxes efficiently.
- High-level use of Microsoft SharePoint and 365, as well as drafting technical documents.
- Driving technical innovation, sharing fresh ideas within the team.
What You’ll Need
Essential Requirements
- Experience in publishing information online (e.g., content management systems).
- Basic understanding of document sensitivity principles.
- Familiarity with Freedom of Information Act (FoI) and Data Protection Act (DPA) or GDPR compliance.
- Ability to work under tight deadlines and manage multiple tasks concurrently.
- Strong working knowledge of Microsoft SharePoint and 365.
- Exceptional communication and relationship-building skills to engage with colleagues and stakeholders.
- Commitment to confidentiality, integrity, and data privacy.
Nice-to-Have Skills
- Background in research, records management, or policy analysis.
- Experience with document workflow automation or metadata classification systems.
- Advanced technical writing skills.

Location & Vetting Requirements
- Based at Hanslope Park, Milton Keynes with 60% office-based and 40% remote working.
- Mandatory security clearance before commencing (aims for Developed Vetting).
