Knowledge Lawyer (Employment) – 12-Month FTC (Maternity Cover)
Location: London (Hybrid)
Working Pattern: Part-time (3 days per week – flexible)
A highly regarded London employment team is seeking an experienced Employment Knowledge Lawyer, or an employment solicitor looking to transition into a knowledge-focused role, to join on a 12-month fixed-term maternity cover contract commencing in mid-August 2026. This is an excellent opportunity to play a central role in supporting a leading employment practice by driving technical excellence, knowledge management and client-facing thought leadership.
The role will include:
- Monitoring developments in employment law and keeping the team up to date with key legal changes.
- Drafting and maintaining precedents, guidance notes and other know-how resources.
- Supporting lawyers with technical and research queries.
- Delivering internal technical training and managing knowledge initiatives.
- Producing client updates, articles, webinars and other thought leadership content.
- Preparing bespoke client training materials and supporting external seminars and events.
- Working with colleagues to explore and implement AI and legal technology solutions.
- Supporting compliance with new employment legislation.

About you:
- UK qualified solicitor.
- Minimum 5 years' PQE in employment law.
- Experience as an Employment Knowledge Lawyer is welcomed but not essential.
- Strong technical employment law knowledge and excellent drafting skills.
- Confident delivering training and presenting to colleagues or clients.
- Highly organised with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- A collaborative and proactive approach with a genuine interest in knowledge sharing and innovation.
