Knowledge Paralegal

Knowledge & Innovation Paralegal – Join Our Progressive Legal Team

About the Role

We are seeking a proactive, highly engaged, and adaptable Knowledge & Innovation Paralegal to join our dynamic team at the intersection of law, knowledge, technology, and innovation. This role would benefit someone with a law or information-related graduate background or prior experience in legal or knowledge research.

This is a full-time position, floating between our Bristol, Birmingham, and Leeds offices, with a commitment to flexible working. Occasional travel to office locations may be required.

Main Responsibilities

  • Deliver timely, high-quality legal and commercial research in response to queries from lawyers and business services teams
  • Monitor legal, regulatory, and sector developments to produce alerts and current awareness materials
  • Maintain knowledge systems, intranet pages, and internal repositories for easy access
  • Support legal technology, AI, and process improvement projects, including:
    • Testing new tools
    • Creating workflow documentation
    • Developing user guides
  • Assist in promoting the Knowledge & Innovation team, such as:
    • Inducting new starters
    • Training colleagues on research tools and resources

Requirements

Essential Qualifications & Skills

  • Legal, knowledge, or research experience in a law firm or professional services environment, OR a degree in law, information, or a related field
  • Strong legal, commercial, or professional services research skills with an analytical mindset
  • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to summarise complex information clearly and accurately
  • High level of detail and a methodical approach to organising information
  • Strong IT proficiency (e.g., Microsoft Office) and the ability to quickly learn new databases, systems, and digital tools
  • Effective time management, organisation, and multi-tasking skills for meeting deadlines and demands
  • A proactive, curious, and service-oriented attitude
  • Confidence in collaborating with colleagues across multiple seniority levels

Desirable (Bonus) Qualifications & Skills

  • Familiarity with legal research platforms, news aggregators, or AI tools
  • Experience managing HighQ sites or knowledge repositories
  • Interest in AI, legal tech, AI-enabled automation tools, and process improvements
  • Ability to create user guides, training materials, newsletters, or current awareness updates
