About this opportunity:
Rare opportunity for a technically accomplished Employment Knowledge Lawyer or senior Employment Solicitor
- Join a Tier 1 ranked London employment practice on a 12-month maternity cover contract
- Work within a highly recognised team handling complex, high-profile employment matters
- Support some of London’s leading ranked Employment Partners and lawyers
- Work alongside the Principal Knowledge Lawyer to maintain the team’s high technical standards
- Focus on complex legal research, know-how, precedents, training and thought leadership
The role will include:
- Monitoring significant employment law developments and providing timely, authoritative and accessible updates
- Updating and preparing precedents, guidance notes and internal know-how
- Supporting highly experienced fee earners with complex legal research and technical queries
- Devising and delivering technical internal training and managing the training calendar
- Supporting the firm’s fortnightly know-how meetings
- Identifying improvements to working practices and assisting with the trial of AI tools and legal technology
- Supporting the firm’s compliance with new employment legislation
- Drafting client newsletters, case summaries, articles and thought leadership content
- Preparing and delivering webinars, seminars and bespoke client training
- Drafting conference materials, speaking notes and website content
- Working with the Head of Marketing on thought leadership and business development initiatives

What you offer:
The successful candidate will be a UK-qualified Solicitor with at least five years’ PQE gained as a practising Employment Lawyer or Knowledge Lawyer.
- This role requires excellent employment law knowledge, strong legal judgement and the ability to research, analyse and communicate complex developments at a level appropriate for a market-leading team.
- You will also have excellent academic credentials, exceptional legal research and drafting skills, experience delivering technical training or presentations and the ability to manage several projects simultaneously.

The role is offered on a part-time basis of three days per week, with flexibility around how the working week is structured. Some attendance at the London office will be required.
