KS1 Class Teacher - Worksop
Are you an enthusiastic and dedicated KS1 Class Teacher looking for flexible and rewarding primary roles across Worksop?
Academics—specialising in supporting a number of friendly and well-regarded primary schools across Worksop—are seeking confident Key Stage 1 practitioners for temporary, ongoing supply positions. This is a great opportunity for teachers wanting flexibility, variety, and supportive learning environments.
Position & Location
- Role: KS1 Class Teacher
- Location: Worksop, Nottinghamshire
- Contract: Full-time or part-time, temporary ongoing (flexible supply)
- Pay: £130 – £190 per day (paid via PAYE – no umbrella company fees)
- Start Date: ASAP or a date that suits you
About the Role
As a KS1 Class Teacher in Worksop, you will:
- Deliver engaging, age-appropriate learning to pupils in Year 1 and Year 2, fostering early development in reading, writing, numeracy, and social skills.
- Support roles range from short-term cover to longer-term bookings depending on placement needs.

Key Responsibilities
- Plan and deliver engaging lessons aligned with the KS1 curriculum
- Create a positive and structured classroom environment
- Adapt lessons to suit a range of learning needs
- Monitor progress and maintain high standards in teaching
- Collaborate seamlessly with support staff and teachers
- Adhere to and enforce safeguarding and behaviour policies
Candidate Requirements
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
- Previous KS1 teaching experience (preferably Year 1 or Year 2)
- Strong classroom management and behaviour strategies
- Professional, flexible and engaging teaching style
- Enhanced DBS (or willingness to apply for one)
