KS1 Teacher Year 1 and 2 Specialist Local Primary Schools

Salary: GBP140 - GBP233 per day (Paid to Scale)

The transition into Key Stage 1 is where the magic of reading to learn begins. We are seeking an enthusiastic KS1 Teacher (Year 1 or Year 2) to join a collaborative primary faculty. Scale:Matched Pay:

We strictly adhere to MPS/UPS scales (GBP140 - GBP233 per day), ensuring your expertise is rewarded with reliable weekly payments via Randstad.

Phonics and Literacy Support:

Access bespoke 2026 CPD focusing on high-impact programs like Read Write Inc. or Little Wandle.

Your Role as an Early Years Expert

As a Key Stage 1 Teacher, you are the architect of a child's foundational academic skills.

Deliver High-Impact Phonics:

Lead daily phonics sessions that build the decoding skills essential for early reading success.

Creative Curriculum Delivery:

Plan and execute engaging, play-infused lessons in Numeracy and Literacy that meet National Curriculum standards.

Nurturing Environment:

Create a classroom culture where 5-to-7-year-olds feel safe to take risks, ask questions, and celebrate their lightbulb moments.

Progress Tracking:

Use formative assessment to monitor early milestones, ensuring every child receives the targeted support they need to thrive.

Essential Requirements

To be considered for this Primary Teaching role, you must meet the following:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS): Mandatory (ECTs/NQTs are highly encouraged).
  • Phonics Experience: A strong understanding of systematic synthetic phonics (SSP) delivery.
  • Classroom Presence: The energy and patience to manage a vibrant KS1 classroom while maintaining a focused learning flow.
  • Compliance: A valid enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness) and a 100% commitment to Safeguarding.
