Silvertrees Academy (SIPS)

Starting Date: As soon as possible (Subject to clearances)

Fixed Term Contract Until: 31 August 2027

Part-time: Mornings (based 0.5 contract)

The successful candidate will teach daily English lessons using Greg Bottrill’s Drawing Club approach and adapted daily maths lessons based on NCETM mastering number and White Rose Maths to a small group of Year 1 and 2 pupils.

About The Role

We are looking for a skilled, caring and enthusiastic teacher, with strong EYFS knowledge, to lead a targeted Drawing Club and Maths Club for a small group of Year 1 and Year 2 children with special educational needs.

This role is key to supporting children who are working within the EYFS Communication & Language, Literacy and Maths frameworks, helping them to develop confidence, vocabulary and early writing and maths skills through high-quality, structured and creative provision.

What We’re Looking For

We are looking for someone who:

  • Holds QTS or is working towards it
  • Has experience working in Early Years / EYFS settings
  • Has experience supporting pupils with special educational needs, particularly speech, language and communication needs
  • Has a strong understanding of the EYFS framework
  • Can deliver engaging, creative and structured small group interventions
  • Has a warm, nurturing approach and high expectations for all pupils
  • Works effectively as part of a team and communicates well with colleagues and families
