If so, then this KS2 TA role could be for you

We're currently looking for a long-term Key Stage 2 (KS2) Teaching Assistant to support children for a Primary school in Rochdale. As a successful candidate, you will be working at a passionate school, supporting junior classes (Years 3 through 6) to master the curriculum, build independence, and prepare for their upcoming milestones.

You will be responsible for supporting students consistently in the classroom, driving an uplifting learning environment, and continuing your own professional growth within a stable team.

This is a full-time position for 5 days per week. Working hours would be from 8:30 AM to 3:30 PM.

Responsibilities

  • Your role will consist of running curriculum intervention sessions (English and Maths) with small groups of children in class.
  • Assisting teachers in tracking progress, grading records, and planning tailored learning activities.
  • Supporting teachers in managing junior class behavior and fostering a focused atmosphere.

Requirements

  • Mandatory: Minimum 3-6 months of recent classroom-based or childcare experience.
  • An enhanced DBS on the update service.
  • Eligibility to work in the UK (sponsorship is not available with this role).
  • Strong academic communication skills and classroom discipline.
  • Be committed to achieving high standards of teaching and learning for all.
  • Be willing to be fully involved in the life of the school community.
