To quote the hiring manager, you’ll have real ownership over what you build here.

You're joining a top hedge fund as a Platform Engineer, building and running the Kubernetes platform (OpenShift-based) that quants and engineers rely on every day.

This isn't about patching things together or firefighting. You'll be designing, automating, and scaling production systems that actually matter. The environment is engineering-led and high performance.

Everything runs on-prem, so you'll be working close to the infrastructure and systems layer. You'll be building developer tooling, removing manual processes, and making sure things are reliable and fast.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.

Only hits

No noise. No "maybe this fits." Just roles with a clear explanation of why they're right — and where to focus when applying.

The culture is flat, focused on getting things done, and there's no red tape slowing you down.

You'll need solid experience with Kubernetes (OpenShift is ideal), Linux, and production systems.

You're comfortable writing Python or Go to automate and build tooling, you've built serious production systems before and you're hands-on with infrastructure.
