We are supporting a Financial Institution on the appointment of a KYC/CDD Team Lead to manage a team responsible for CDD checks, ensuring adherence to internal policy and regulatory standards across a high-volume financial markets environment.

This mandate combines day-to-day team leadership with hands-on decision-making support, covering complex case guidance, quality control, MI reporting and stakeholder engagement across the business. The successful candidate will play a key role in driving performance, embedding process improvements and acting as an escalation point for risk and compliance matters.

Responsibilities

  • Leading a team responsible for KYC/CDD checks, ensuring compliance with internal policies and regulatory requirements
  • Providing guidance on complex KYC/CDD cases and decision-making
  • Reviewing analyst decisions and providing constructive feedback, managing performance in a high volume environment
  • Ownership of workflow governance and quality control standards
  • Production and enhancement of MI reporting for senior management
  • Capacity planning and performance management
  • Stakeholder engagement across Compliance, Front Office and Operations globally
  • Identifying and escalating issues or risks requiring further supervision or senior management assistance in a timely manner
  • Identification and implementation of process improvements

  • Proven KYC/CDD and AML knowledge, with a strong understanding of relevant regulations
  • Proven experience leading a team within a financial services environment
  • Excellent communication skills, with experience managing teams in a fast-paced setting
  • Proven ability to review decisions and deliver constructive feedback
  • Confident stakeholder management skills across global functions
  • Strong understanding of FCA-regulated environments

Hybrid working model with 3 days in office.
