About the Role
Due to continued growth in our industry, we at Premax Engineering Ltd. are increasing our team and have the opportunity to offer training and support for a new apprenticeship. This is a hands-on role and offers great prospects and a valued insight into manufacturing at a core level.
As part of our team you will be amongst other things:
- Operating CNC machinery
- Understanding about inspection of machined parts
- Learning about various materials and processes
- Completing hands on final operations like parts cleaning and de-burring
- General housekeeping duties like ensuring machines and surrounding areas are kept clean, tidy, and safe
- Stock checking, light assembly, and preparing parts for dispatch
- Formal college learning with a recognised certificate after successful completion

The working week consists of 4 days on site and 1 day at technical college.
Essential Qualifications
- GCSE in:
- English (grade 4)
- Math (grade 4)
- Share if you have other relevant qualifications and industry experience. The apprenticeship can be adjusted to reflect what you already know.

Over many years, we have built a sound reputation for quality precision machined parts. Premax Engineering can carry out complete manufacture of most components to include processes such as heat treatment, gear cutting, surface treatments, and many more through a network of suppliers built up in over 40 years of trading. Premax Engineering prides itself in the quality of its work, supported by a computerized production control system and in-house inspection of all items.
