Are you immediately available and looking to gain some additional experience as a Laboratory Operations Technician?
A Biotech company based in North London are seeking an experienced Lab Ops Technician to support the smooth operation of their busy R&D lab. This role is ideal if you have prior experience of working in a supportive/assistive role within the lab and you are immediately available to begin.
Role Overview
- Temporary, Part time (20 hours per week Monday-Friday, usually 10:00-14:30 or similar)
- Initially 6 months, Potential for extension. £15.75ph.
- Start Date w/c 27/07 or 03/08
Responsibilities:
- Responsible for housekeeping and assistive duties to maintain smooth operation of the lab.
- Monitoring consumables, waste management, washing and autoclaving, monitoring maintenance issue, receiving deliveries.
- Preparation of reagents, buffers and media.
- Progression towards other operational duties to support the lab such as SOP writing, Risk Assessments and COSHH Forms.

Requirements
- Prior experience of working in a similar supportive/assistive role in a lab (ideally biological/biotech)
- Excellent communication skills and attention to detail
- Strong working knowledge of GLP and the requirements of working in a regulated lab.
- Must be available to begin immediately in London.
