Lab Technician I Grantham I £30k I Permanent I MUST Drive and have own vehicle

Are you looking to build your career in a laboratory environment while contributing to the renewable energy sector? We're recruiting for a Lab Technician to join a growing team based in Grantham. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with a scientific background who enjoys hands-on laboratory work, has a keen eye for detail, and is happy to travel to sites when required.

Working closely with the Laboratory Manager, you'll support the day-to-day running of the laboratory, carry out sample analysis, maintain laboratory equipment, and ensure accurate recording of results. During peak harvest periods, you'll also visit operational sites to collect samples, making a full UK driving licence essential.

The Role

As a Lab Technician, you'll play a key role in supporting laboratory operations by delivering accurate analysis, maintaining high standards of quality, and ensuring laboratory equipment is calibrated and operating effectively. You'll work as part of a collaborative team while following established laboratory procedures and safety standards.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
