Position Summary
This role involves compliant laboratory testing to ensure product quality and safety. You’ll collaborate with colleagues across manufacturing, quality, and technical teams.

Responsibilities
This role provides key activities to progress your career. It includes the following:
- Carry out routine analytical tests on raw materials, following approved procedures.
- Maintain, calibrate, and troubleshoot laboratory instruments and equipment to ensure data reliability.
- Record, interpret, and report accurate results using laboratory information systems.
- Support investigations, deviations, and corrective actions to maintain product quality.
- Train colleagues on methods, systems, and good laboratory practice to build team capability.
- Contribute to continuous improvement projects that reduce waste and improve lab efficiency.

Requirements
Basic Qualifications
GSK seeks professionals with the following required skills and qualifications:
- HND, HNC, Bachelor’s degree, or equivalent in a scientific discipline, OR relevant practical laboratory experience.
- Experience in an analytical laboratory within a regulated environment.
- Practical knowledge of laboratory instrumentation and good laboratory practice.
- Experience working with laboratory information systems and accurate data recording.
- Ability to follow procedures precisely and work independently when required.
- Strong communication skills and willingness to work collaboratively across teams.
Preferred Qualifications
The following experience and attributes are desirable:
- Degree in Chemistry or a related discipline.
- Experience with HPLC, GC, or other chromatography techniques.
- Working knowledge of Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP) and regulatory expectations.
- Experience participating in quality systems, audits, or laboratory method validation.
- A proactive approach to continuous improvement and problem-solving.

Working Pattern and Location
- Part-time role: up to 3 days per week.
- Site-based in the United Kingdom at the Irvine site.
- Working hours:
- 0630–1430 or 0830–1630, Monday–Friday.
- The role is not remote or hybrid.
