Laboratory Technician

Location: Slough

This is a fully site-based role. Working together in person supports close, real-time collaboration and the technical precision needed to manufacture medicines to the highest quality and safety standards.

What You Will Do

  • Carry out routine daily and weekly calibration checks to ensure laboratory equipment is compliant and ready for use.
  • Prepare analytical buffers to support laboratory methods and scientific processes.
  • Manage laboratory consumables, ensuring stock levels are maintained and items are available at points of use.
  • Order consumables through the Warehouse Management System (WMS) and coordinate with internal stores.
  • Maintain high standards of cleanliness by cleaning glassware and plasticware and supporting washroom operations.
  • Process laboratory deliveries, including receipt, storage, and communication with relevant teams.
  • Clean and prepare water baths and other equipment in line with Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP) procedures.
  • Record data accurately in electronic and paper formats, following GMP and Data Integrity principles.

What We Are Looking For

  • Proven experience working in a laboratory environment, ideally in a support or technician role.
  • Strong understanding of laboratory equipment, calibration processes, and maintenance requirements.
  • Excellent organizational skills and the ability to manage inventory effectively.
  • Familiarity with laboratory health, safety, and quality standards.
  • High attention to detail and commitment to maintaining a clean, efficient, and compliant workspace.
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively within a team.
