Laboratory Technician Reporting to: Operations Manager Site: 100% On-site Hours: 37.5 per week

Are you looking to build a career within a scientific and laboratory environment? We're looking for a motivated and hands-on individual to join a growing organisation that is passionate about developing people and providing long-term career opportunities. This role offers excellent exposure to laboratory operations and is ideal for someone who is eager to learn, adaptable, and enjoys working in a fast-paced, practical environment.

Previous laboratory experience can be beneficial, but attitude, reliability, and a willingness to get stuck in are far more important. Full training will be provided, making this an excellent opportunity for someone looking to develop a career in science, laboratory operations, or the life sciences sector.

  • Support the day-to-day running of laboratory and operational facilities.
  • Maintain a clean, organised, and safe working environment.
  • Assist with the receipt, logging, storage, and movement of samples and laboratory materials.
  • Support inventory management and stock control activities.
  • Help monitor and maintain laboratory equipment and site systems.
  • Assist with routine facility checks and operational tasks.
  • Maintain accurate records and documentation.
  • Support purchasing and general operational activities.
  • Follow quality, safety, and company procedures at all times.
  • Work collaboratively with colleagues across laboratory and operations teams.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
