Location: Wolverhampton, West Midlands, UK
Contract & Shift Pattern: Permanent, 30 hours per week, Thursday–Sunday, 08:30–16:30
Package: • Starting salary: £21,764.42 • Comprehensive wellbeing support and rewards package
About the Role
The Laboratory Technician will provide essential knowledge and skills to assist with sample testing and registration, as well as basic equipment maintenance to ensure smooth laboratory operations.
Key Responsibilities
- Register and analyse samples in line with published SOPs and Quality Standards
- Operate laboratory instrumentation in compliance with established KPIs
- Monitor and Document amendments to standard working practices
- Maintain accurate laboratory records
- Assist with consрабables and reagents supply chain management
- Flag deviations in sample registration or analytical procedures
- Ensure high-standard customer communications (written & verbal)
- Adhere to all health and safety protocols (site-wide and workstation-specific)

Essential Skills & Qualifications
- Ability to follow and convey intricate technical instructions
- Exceptional accuracy and attention to detail
- Strong analytical reasoning and problem-solving skills
- Organisational discipline with robust time management
- Capable of collaborative teamwork
- Experience with equipment maintenance and calibration
- Computer proficiency (including Microsoft Office product suite)
