Labourer – Plant & Tool Division

We're looking for a proactive and hardworking Labourer to join GAP's high-performing Plant & Tool Division. If you take pride in keeping things organised, enjoy a fast-paced environment, and want to be part of a growing business—this could be the opportunity you’ve been waiting for.
As a Labourer, you’ll play a key role in ensuring our depot runs smoothly and safely. Your responsibilities will include maintaining a clean and hazard-free workshop and yard, preparing plant equipment for hire, and supporting the wider team to deliver exceptional service to customers across construction, utilities, and infrastructure sectors.
This is a hands-on role offering real career progression in a company that invests in its people.
What You’ll Be Doing
- Keeping the workshop and yard clean, tidy, and hazard-free
- Cleaning plant equipment and storing it in an orderly fashion
- Refuelling plant and machinery, accurately updating fuel logs
- Quality-checking equipment before it leaves the depot to ensure it is hire-ready
- Assisting with general workshop duties as required
- Carrying out driving duties (subject to licence) and assisting Drivers and customers with loading and unloading vehicles
- Operating forklift when necessary

About You
What You’ll Bring
✅ Previous experience in a labourer role, ideally within a hire depot or yard environment ✅ Strong team player with a willingness to support colleagues ✅ Ability to work independently and use initiative in a busy environment ✅ High attention to detail and commitment to safety standards 🔹 Advantageous:
- CSCS card
- Forklift licence
- Driving licence
